4 1/2" of water in the rain gauge today and the sprinklers didn't run! Guess there has to be a little rain sometimes? Glad it's a weekday and not on the weekend!

Busy day in the garden ... lots of weeds; cut the seed pods from the belamcanda (blackberry lily) & rattlebox (most of them, we couldn't get to the top); we also put in a bed along side the neighbor's house (with his permission, of course!) - added some 4 O'Clocks, Angel Trumpets & Thryallis.  Trimmed the Jasmine on the south side of the house. Starry Rosinweed (Silphium asteriscus).
We found a plant in bloom with seeds when we were on a trip for our 10th
anniversary in Downtown Orlando and they grew tall and bloomed beautifully. We
just call them "anniversary flowers" but don't know what they really are.
