2 trays of Janie Yellow Marigolds (3 week old plants) put in by the pool; 3 more trays of 18 sowed. Also sowed a small "bulk" tray of the dune sunflowers seeds that we collected from the beach last week; Cosmos under the Jacaranda tree finally producing seeds; Cosmos in the meadow are blooming well and a few of those that were sowed direct are up and a few blooms are open - they seem to be rather short though - those started in trays grow to 18", but the direct sows (both in the meadow & by the pool) are blooming at 4-5"; Rattlebox flowered out and seed pods starting to dry - time to cut before they drop! Many 4 o'clock seeds collected and thrown into the woods; some Candlestick Cassia stalks are also starting to bloom out - need to cut before drying;
