Janie Yellow Marigolds sprouted today!! YEAH! Also, lots of nice Zinnias still blooming and more sprouting from their abundances of self-sowers.

The Musical Note (Clerodendrum incisum) is almost bloomed out, so we'll be taking some stems soon to start some new plants for next year.  This one's made it through the winters, coming back each year from the root, but we don't want to take a chance on losing this shrub.  It's flowers are so unique and beautiful! It's supposed to be a Zone 9 plant, but we've lost quite a few over the years.

Today also marks the 1 month mark for the latest trees I pulled from Mom's in Pennsylvania and snuck back to FL on the plane.  Both 5" twigs, now with a few leaves and looking better. The trees I brought back last year have caught on nicely and look great.  This time I wanted to journal the journey from the beginning, but didn't take the "just planted" pictures. I think these will still be a nice start for watching their progress.
